About KSOC Radio

KSOC Radio is run entirely by students at Southern Oregon University. There are three of us who run the day-to-day operations: Amanda - music director, Drew - production manager, and James - station manager. Started over twelve years ago, KSOC continues to deliver new music to SOU students every day. We've not only provided the SOU campus with great radio, we've also introduced students to the world of radio broadcasting, allowing them to learn how a real station works and to acquire valuable experience towards a broadcast career.

KSOC is always working to expand the resources available to student DJs and keeps getting better every year. In the 2006-07 season, with some help from real-world broadcast professionals, we were able to upgrade KSOC to not only match the quality of commercial radio, but also to broadcast online as one of the highest quality Internet broadcasters in the world! We're still installing new equipment in the KSOC studios. The broadcast studio has been completely replaced by state-of-the-art equipment, and in addition we're also building a recording studio for the production of pre-recorded shows and portfolio development for students interested in a career in broadcasting.

Now, in the 2007-08 season, we hope to bring yet more great ksoc radio to the campus, the community, and the world at large. Dispite the loss of our ksoc.net website, we're back and rockin' harder than ever with new shows, some fun events, and a new staff.
